Service League

By Lauren Mohatt, Events Manager

Hard working. Passionate. Enthusiastic. Mission driven.

These are just a few of the many qualities that members of our Service League possess. Service League is a group of community volunteers and professionals from various companies around the metro area who actively work to advance our mission in the community.

As a member of this group, individuals are given the opportunity to contribute to Big Brothers Big Sisters in ways that are meaningful to them. Service League is an agency-focused group, meaning they play an active role in different areas related to our mission of empowering potential within the youth we serve. This group partakes in recruiting new Bigs, setting up Lunch-and-Learns, volunteering at activities designed for our Big/Little matches, and most importantly, they bring their ‘A’ game to plan and host the annual Big Basketball Bash.

We are always looking to add members to this rewarding group! Members meet once a month at the BBBS office on the first Thursday of each month from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Each meeting is designed in such a way that members get to learn about different staff roles, how our organization runs, how they can get involved further, as well as, prepare for their fundraiser. This group is a great way for you to give back to your community, network with other professionals and set youth on a path towards their biggest possible futures!

I am so fortunate to work with all of these individuals. They each bring their own unique perspectives and talents to the table. Check out our current members below! Who knows? You might even recognize someone on this list from your own network. If you do, I challenge you to reach out and ask them to share about their own experience as a part of Service League.
