Growth is our 2023 vibe! 

As we finish our second year of MentorU, it’s time to celebrate all the fun memories and lessons learned, and look ahead. We identified our emotions, attempted to understand motivation, and gained empathy for others. We played with magnetic sand, created word clouds about stress, and ate a lot of necessary snacks. Our students dreamed about their futures and wrote letters to their future selves, set goals, celebrated failures and practiced self-care. Matches have sent over 630 messages and counting. Mentors and students built strong relationships, challenged each other, and learned from each other. Some matches will be entering their third year, while others are celebrating their first anniversary. Summer is around the corner, creating warm weather and the possibility of change and new opportunities for our students. Opportunities to build on what we’ve accomplished, celebrate the relationships we’ve developed, and look forward to GROWING in our third year!
